Harvesting of oil crops also continues:

  • sunflower - from 4.69 million hectares or 93% of the area, 11.074 million tons were threshed with a yield of 2.36 tons/ha,
  • soybeans - 4.51 million tons were harvested from 1.73 million hectares or 96% of the area with a yield of 2.61 tons/ha.

 

In addition, 7.33 million tons of sugar beets were dug up from 155.4 thousand hectares or 62% of the area with a yield of 47.21 tons/ha.

 

In total, 63.2 million tons of grain and oil crops were harvested in Ukraine during the season, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.

 

As of October 24, 4.985 million hectares were sown with winter crops in Ukraine, in particular:

  • wheat - 3.456 million hectares,
  • barley - 322 thousand hectares,
  • rye - 71 thousand hectares,
  • winter rape - 1.136 million hectares.

 

In total, 3.849 million hectares were sown with winter cereals on the specified date, of which 506 thousand hectares were sown during the last week.
