Ukraine exported more than 44 million tons of grain and leguminous crops in 2020/21 MG, against a record 57.2 million tons in 2019/20 mg and 50.4 million tons in 2018/19 MG (39.4 million tons in 2017/18 mg and 44.4 million tons in 2016/17 MG). At the same time, the export of wheat and corn did not reach the limit predicted in the memorandum between market participants and the relevant ministry.

 

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy predicts grain exports from Ukraine in 2021/22 MG at the level of 56 million tons.

 

On July 5, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and food of Ukraine signed a memorandum of understanding on the maximum volumes of grain exports in the 2021/22 season with market participants. This was reported by the press service of the European Business Association.

 

"This memorandum is one of the main factors in maintaining the balance between domestic grain consumption and Ukraine's export opportunities for the eleventh consecutive year. The document is designed to ensure the predictability and flexibility of the market in grain exports, which are important factors for successful export activities," the EBA stressed.

 

Recall that the maximum volume of grain exports is determined by the annex to the memorandum, which is usually agreed before mid-August.
