In the new season, Ukrainian farmers threshed 11% of the projected areas and exported 2 million tons of grain

As of July 21, 5.47 million tons of grain were threshed in Ukraine from 1.34 million hectares or 11% of the projected area, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.

In terms of cultures, the following were collected:

• wheat - 2.6 million tons from an area of 633.2 thousand hectares with an average yield of 4.11 tons/hectare,
• barley — 2.56 million tons from an area of 580.5 thousand hectares with a yield of 4.41 tons/hectare,
• peas - 301.4 thousand tons from an area of 121.6 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.48 tons/hectare.

The largest amount of grain was harvested in the following regions:

• Odesa region — 1.597 million tons from an area of 385 thousand hectares (wheat — 616.5 thousand tons, barley — 858.2 thousand tons, peas — 133 thousand tons);
• Mykolaiv region - 1.303 million tons from an area of 365.5 thousand hectares (wheat - 694 thousand tons, barley - 521.7 thousand tons, peas - 83.1 thousand tons);
• Dnipropetrovsk region - 1.005 million tons from an area of 256.5 thousand hectares (wheat - 712.2 thousand tons, barley - 273.5 thousand tons, peas - 18.3 thousand tons).

Farmers have also begun harvesting winter and spring rapeseed, of which 429.6 thousand tons have already been threshed from 216.2 thousand hectares with an average yield of 1.99 tons/hectare.

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in the 2026/27 MY, grain exports increased compared to the corresponding period last year from 998 thousand tons to 2.089 million tons, in particular by crop:

• wheat – from 356 to 834 thousand tons,
• barley – from 23 to 182 thousand tons,
• corn – from 514 thousand tons to 1.069 million tons.

Flour exports in the new season amounted to 1.2 thousand tons (2.7 thousand tons for the same period of 2025/26 MY), in particular wheat - 1.1 (2.5) thousand tons.
