In 2025, the Russian Federation damaged 39 ships in the ports of Ukraine and the Black Sea
According to the Monitoring Group of the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies, in 2025, the Russian Federation attacked ships in Odessa ports and the Black Sea waters 22 times, both directly on the ships themselves and on the port infrastructure in general, damaging 30 civilian ships, 8 vessels (barges and pontoons) and 1 warship, reports Economic Pravda. Among the crews of the ships and port infrastructure workers there are dead and wounded.
By month, the following were damaged:
- in March – 3 ships,
- April, June – 0,
- May – 1 ship,
- July – 5 ships,
- August – 5 vessels (including 1 warship),
- September – 3 ships,
- October – 1 ship and 2 watercraft,
- November – 5 ships, 3 barges, 2 pontoons,
- December – 8 vessels and 1 watercraft.
No information was received for January and February.
Ships were hit in the Odessa and Izmail ports, the Chornomorsk port, the Danube ports, the coastal waters of the Black Sea and the Danube estuary. In November, most of the ships were hit during the attack on the Izmail port.
Let us recall that during 2025, 2,689 vessels called at the three ports of Greater Odessa involved in the grain corridor (in January - 204, February - 213, March - 242, April - 202, May - 233, June - 186, July - 180, August - 195, September - 183, October and November - 266 each, December - 229).
