In the 2024/25 MY, Ukraine reduced its exports of grain and oilseeds compared to the previous season from 57.5 to 46.7 million tons due to a worse harvest and lower carry-in stocks at the beginning of the season, the Ukrainian Grain Association reports.
According to UGA estimates, in 2024, the production of grain and oilseed crops amounted to 78.8 million tons (82.9 million tons in 2023), and the carrying stocks at the beginning of the season amounted to 7 (14.4) million tons.

Last year, the most important factor for Ukrainian grain exports was the stable operation of the sea corridor, which allowed products to be loaded through the ports of the Odessa region. In addition, the mechanism for insurance of ships, infrastructure, and grain, introduced with the support of international partners, reduced logistics costs for exporters and agricultural producers.
According to customs data, in the 2024/25 MY, exports of grains and oilseeds in monetary terms increased compared to the previous season from $10.76 to $11.2 billion, and taking into account products made from them (in particular, sunflower oil and meal), from $17.86 to $18.1 billion.
During the season, the following was exported:
