In 2023, the volume of world exports of peas reached the highest level in the last 20 years - almost 8 million tons, of which 41% were exported from the Russian Federation and 36% - from Canada, the analytical agency Russian Pulses Analytics reported.

According to the Europak company, in 2023 the Russian Federation exported 3.4 million tons of legumes, of which 28% were delivered to China, 21% to Turkey, and 5% to Pakistan.

According to Rosstat estimates, in 2023 the gross harvest of peas in the Russian Federation increased by 30% compared to the previous year, from 3.6 to 4.7 million tons, and exports increased by 2.6 times to a record 2.9 million tons.
