Harvest rates for late crops are in line with last year's, export rates are lower, and sunflower and corn yields are higher than last year.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of October 19, 39.064 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed from 7.899 million hectares or 68% of the planned area in Ukraine, with an average yield of 4.95 tons/ha, while last year, as of October 16, 34.749 million tons of grain were harvested from 7.979 million hectares (67% of the area) with an average yield of 4.35 tons/ha.

In terms of cultures, the following has been collected so far:

• corn – 5.363 million tons from 911.8 thousand hectares (20% of the area) with a yield of 5.88 tons/hectare (last year, 4.913 million tons were harvested from 21% of the area with a yield of 5.49 tons/ha),
• buckwheat – 57.3 thousand tons from 45.9 thousand hectares (95%) with a yield of 1.25 tons/hectare (85%, 82.4 thousand tons, 1.4 tons/hectare),
• millet – 88.1 thousand tons from 38.3 thousand hectares (94%) with a yield of 2.3 tons/hectare (67%, 59.9 thousand tons, 1.68 tons/hectare).

The following amount of oilseeds was also collected:

• sunflower – 9.077 million tons from 4.123 million hectares (79% of the area) with a yield of 2.2 tons/hectare (76%, 7.194 million tons, 1.84 tons/hectare),
• soybeans – 3.014 million tons from 1.383 million hectares (86%) with a yield of 2.18 tons/hectare (62%, 3.08 million tons, 2.29 tons/hectare).

On the specified date, 2.87 million tons of sugar beets were harvested from 58.2 thousand hectares or 34% of the projected area, with an average yield of 49.3 tons/hectare (46%, 4.72 million tons, 52.4 tons/hectare).

According to the State Customs Service, in the 2026/27 MY (as of October 19), Ukraine exported 5.986 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, in particular in October - 765 thousand tons, while last year as of October 22, 8.286 million tons of grain were exported, of which in October - 1.606 million tons.

By crop, exports decreased compared to the corresponding period last year:

• wheat – from 5.819 to 3.377 million tons,
• barley – from 1.026 million tons to 473 thousand tons.

At the same time, exports of the following crops increased:

• rye – from 0.2 to 0.4 thousand tons,
• corn – from 1.271 to 2.065 million tons.

In addition, in the 2026/27 MY, Ukraine exported 12 thousand tons of flour (19.4 thousand tons for the same period in the 2025/26 MY), in particular wheat - 11.2 (18.8) thousand tons.
