  • wheat - 189.3 thousand hectares (175.4 thousand hectares on this date last year),
  • barley - 928.4 thousand hectares (1337 thousand hectares),
  • rapeseed - 31.7 thousand hectares (33.2 thousand hectares),
  • oats - 156.9 thousand hectares (177.9 thousand hectares),
  • peas - 125.9 thousand hectares (231.1 thousand hectares),
  • buckwheat - 57.7 thousand hectares (51.3 thousand hectares),
  • millet - 41.3 thousand hectares (78.1 thousand hectares),
  • corn - 4405 thousand hectares (5140.1 thousand hectares),
  • sugar beets - 182.1 thousand hectares (224.7 thousand hectares),
  • sunflower - 4267.9 thousand hectares (6123.4 thousand hectares),
  • soybeans - 1151.7 thousand hectares (1219.2 thousand hectares),
  • potatoes - 1106.9 thousand hectares (in 2021 a total of 1283.1 thousand hectares were planted).

 

According to the State Statistics Service, the area under winter crops for the 2022 harvest decreased by 0.3 million hectares compared to the previous season to 7.6 million hectares, including:

  • winter wheat and triticale - by 0.3 million hectares to 6.5 million hectares,
  • rye - on 63 thousand hectares to 109 thousand hectares,
  • barley - on 163 thousand hectares to 969 thousand hectares.

At the same time, the sowing area of winter rape increased by 442 thousand hectares to 1.414 million hectares.

 

This week there will be rains all over Ukraine, which are especially needed in the southern and central regions. They will improve the condition of winter and spring crops.
