The pace of grain exports from Ukraine and Russia grow
Since the beginning of the 2017/18 season Ukraine exported more of 7.07 million tons of grain, which is 130 thousand tons higher than in the same period last year, according to Directoryslash.
- Export of wheat in comparison with the previous season, decreased by 500 thousand tons to 3.77 million tons.
- Export of barley fell by 310 thousand tons to 2.06 million tons.
- exports of corn increased in comparison with the similar period of the previous season on 630 thousand tons to 1.1 million tons.
In addition, the new marketing season as of August 30, Ukraine exported to 40.1 thousand tons of flour, which is 7.6 thousand tons exceeds the level of the similar period of the previous MG.
According to experts, in the season 2017/18 MG Ukraine will collect 63.9 million tons of grain.
As at 30 August grain exports from Russia since the beginning of the 2017/18 MG grew to 6.91 million, compared to 5,366 million tons the same period last year, reports the agriculture Ministry, citing data from the Federal customs service.
The volume of Russian wheat exports compared to the same period of last year increased by 11.3% to 5 mln tonnes, barley – 1.7 times up to 1,366 million tons, corn at 11.7 times to 502 thousand tons.
