Prices for food wheat in the ports of Ukraine updated the record, reaching 3 325 / ton

The increase in world wheat prices has led to an increase in purchase prices for food wheat in Ukraine to a record level.

The reason for the increase was the November IGC Report published at the end of the week, in which the forecast of world wheat production in 2021/22 MG was reduced by 3.4 million tons to 777.4 million tons compared to October estimates, which is still 4 million tons higher than the previous season – 773.4 million tons. in particular, for the EU, the harvest forecast was reduced from 138.5 to 138 million tons (124.5 million tons in 2020/21 mg), and for Kazakhstan – from 12.5 to 12 million tons (14.3 million tons).

Due to a decrease in the production forecast, the estimate of world wheat reserves compared to the October report was also reduced by 1.7 million tons from 276 to 274.3 million tons (278.4 million tons in 2020/21 MG), in particular for Canada – from 3.9 to 3.5 million tons (5.7 million tons), Kazakhstan – from 1 to 0.9 million tons (0.9 million tons), Russia – from 12.3 to 12.2 million tons (12.8 million tons), Ukraine – from 1.6 to 1.5 million tons (1.6 million tons).

Following World quotations and against the background of a shortage of offers, purchase prices for food wheat in the ports of Ukraine last week reached a record 323-325 $/ton or 9600-9700 UAH/ton, while feed wheat remains 20-25 / / ton lower. According to the State Customs Service, in my 2021/22, Ukraine exported 13.479 million tons of wheat as of November 17, which is 2.134 million tons ahead of last year's pace and is 56% of the volume planned for this season before export.

• December Black Sea wheat futures on Chicago SWOT rose to п'ятницю 349.5/ton on Friday, almost recouping the fall at the beginning of the week.

Export prices for Russian wheat with 12.5% protein are F 325-340/ton FOB for deliveries in December, which is lower than the supply prices of Ukrainian wheat.

• December wheat futures on Paris Euronext on Friday reached a record 301 €/ton, but in general for the day rose by 2.75 €/ton to 299.75 €/ton or 337.8 €/ton against the background of a decline in the euro exchange rate to 1.127€/€.

According to FranceAgriMer, as of November 15, 93% of the planned areas were sown with soft wheat in France (94% last year), and 56% with durum wheat (72% last year). Almost 99% of the crops are in good or excellent condition.

In the US, winter wheat prices recovered from the fall, but spring wheat continues to fall in price amid forecasts of an increase in sowing areas.

December US futures rose:

• by 1 1.1 / ton to Чикаго 302.4/ton for soft winter SRW wheat in Chicago,
• by 2 2.75/ton to.306.7 / ton for hard winter HRW wheat in Kansas City.

Hard spring HRS wheat in Minneapolis fell by 2 2.39/ton to 3 371.2/ton.
