Diesel prices in Ukraine rose following oil prices
In Ukraine, an abnormal speculative price increase continues on the diesel fuel market, caused by the war in the Middle East, according to a report by NaftoRynk.
The average price of diesel fuel increased by 14.7% or 9.11 UAH/l per week, in particular over the last three days - by 12.9% or 8.02 UAH/l to 62.01 UAH/l, and the number of offers decreased by 55%, which supported prices.
The reason was the aggravation of the geopolitical situation and the increase in world prices. Thus, in London, gas oil rose by 19.4% or $145.75/t to a 2-year high of $898.5/t.
In the regions, the average price increased by 7-9 UAH/l, in particular:
- in Mykolaiv region – by 7.04 UAH/l to 61.43 UAH/l,
- Chernihiv – by 8.83 UAH/l to 64.12 UAH/l (the largest increase),
- Kirovohrad – by 8.6 UAH/l to 63.06 UAH/l,
- Kharkiv — up to 64.18 UAH/l (maximum level),
- Lviv — up to 60.25 UAH/l.
On border routes, the average price of diesel also increased:
- in Romanian – by 7.79 UAH/l to 61 UAH/l,
- in Polish — by 7.42 UAH/l to 60.36 UAH/l (with a range of 59–64 UAH/l),
- in Hungarian and Slovak – by 8.48 UAH/l to 62.24 UAH/l.
In the southern regions, prices crossed the level of 61 UAH/l yesterday. According to NaftoRynk quotes, small wholesale batches of 30–64 cubic meters on an FCA basis - Danube terminals sold at 59.5–61.5 UAH/l, but offers below 60 UAH/l were available only in the morning and subject to prompt payment.
Later, sellers began to raise the price, taking advantage of the limited supply.
In February 2026, diesel fuel imports increased by 0.3% compared to January to 457 thousand tons, while the average daily import rate increased by 11% from 14.7 to 16.3 thousand tons/day.
