Dry and hot weather in the central regions of the US and precipitation in Argentina and Brazil will be the main factors influencing the weather on the markets

Hot and dry weather has returned to much of the Midwest and Plains, with a front moving through over the weekend that will bring light rain. Temperatures will warm again next week, although another front with precipitation will ease the stress of the dry weather. Winter wheat planting conditions are generally not very favorable, with little precipitation and temperatures above 15-20 ° C, accelerating soil moisture loss ahead of spring crop planting.

Scattered rains are falling in central Brazil , where soybean harvest and safrinha corn planting are almost complete. Rains will continue next week, which will improve the condition of the corn crop. In the south of the country, rainfall has been limited, so conditions there are less favorable for the development of second-crop corn crops. Only light rains are forecast there next week.

Earlier this week, a front brought heavy rains to southern Argentina , which should help stabilize late corn and soybean crops. Another front is forecast for next week, but it won't help much of the crop as early crops have already begun to be harvested.

Much of Europe will be dry over the weekend, with the exception of Spain, where some rain is possible. A front could bring rain to the continent next week, benefiting dry areas in the east. Warm temperatures are bringing winter wheat out of dormancy, but some crops are in fairly dry conditions, especially in the northeast.

In the Black Sea region, dry conditions persist in places as wheat emerges from dormancy in a mixed state. Crops need more precipitation, but outside of southwestern Russia and most of Ukraine, little rain is forecast, and only light localized precipitation is expected next week.
