The structure of fertilizer imports has changed significantly, and new leaders have emerged among importers

In the 1st quarter of 2024, Ukraine imported 664,800 tons of fertilizers, which is 0.9% higher than last year's figure, https://infoindustria.com.ua reports. At the same time, the structure of imports and the TOP-20 suppliers in each group have changed significantly. New leaders emerged, old ones changed tactics, but they all suffered from problems with border sampling that still occur.

The volume of nitrogen fertilizer imports decreased by 15.8% to 410.98 thousand tons. The TOP-20 in this group looks like this:

The volume of import of NPK fertilizers increased by 35.09% to 131.7 thousand tons, which is a rather low indicator and corresponds to the normal monthly import of fertilizers for Ukraine.

Previously, the Eridon company mainly bought already imported fertilizers, and now it has become one of the TOP importers. Ukrminkhim (formerly Ukrroskhim) returned to the list of importers, and Agrosem and Elixir Ukraine significantly strengthened their positions.

The volume of import of nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizers grew by 66.13% to 106.4 thousand tons. The leaders in this group were:

The volume of import of potash fertilizers was only 16,386 thousand tons, but given the situation on the market, it will soon increase significantly.
