Panamax freight rates to China increased by $10/t
Last week, freight rates for the transportation of grain from the river ports of the Danube and for the transportation of cargoes from the deep-water ports of Odesa continued to decrease, while the price of panamax freight in the direction of China increased, Atria Brokers reports.
As of December 29, rates for the transportation of 6,000 tons of corn by fire from the Danube ports have decreased:
- in the direction of the eastern coast of Greece - by $2-3/t to $32-34/t,
- Marble — by $1/t to $28-29/t,
- of the east coast of Italy - by $1/t to $42-43/t,
- of the Eastern Mediterranean - by $1/t to $38-39/t.
At the same time, freight rates to Israel remained unchanged - at the level of $45-46/t, Spain - $46-48/t, Spanish Seville - $50/t.
Rates for the transportation of corn by handsizes decreased by $1/t:
- to the Mediterranean coast of Egypt up to $34-35/t,
- Italy — up to $36-38/t,
- of the Mediterranean coast of Spain — up to $37-38/t,
- Tunisia — up to $39-41/t.
Rates for the transportation of corn by panamax from the ports of Great Odesa to China increased by $10/t to $75/t. Transportation of corn by barge to Constanta became cheaper by 1 €/t to 19 €/t, and sunflower to Ruse/Silistra – to 25-26 €/t.
