Freight rates for grain transportation from Danube ports continue to rise

According to Atria Brokers, as of June 13, freight rates for the transportation of 6,000 tons of wheat and corn consignments by coasters from the ports of Reni and Izmail in the direction of Spain were $55/t, to the east coast of Italy - $48/t, the eastern Mediterranean (Lebanon , Egypt, Cyprus) – $40/t, the east coast of Greece – $37/t. During the week, the cost of freight for the specified destinations increased by $2/t against the background of increased demand. Also, rates for grain transportation to Crete - up to $38/t and Israel - up to $45/t have increased by $1/t. At the same time, rates for the transportation of barley are about $2/ton higher than for corn.

Freight for the transportation of wheat and corn by coasters from the Danube ports to Marmara increased in price from $30/t to $32/t during the week, but there is still almost no demand in this direction.

Barge freight for wheat and corn from Danube ports to Constanta increased by €2/t to €30/t during the week, while rates for rape remained at €35/t.

Freight for the transportation of non-granulated meal by coasters of 6,000 tons to Marmara during the week increased by $3/t to $45/t, although rates for granulated meal remained at $40/t.

Freight for the transportation of rapeseed meal by coasters to Spain during the week rose immediately by $10/t to $75/t.
