Freight rates for transportation through the Black Sea corridor continue to fall

The activation of the movement of ships through the new Black Sea corridor, provided by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, allows to increase the volume of sea exports, - the company Spike Brokers reports on its Teleram channel.

 

"During the week, freight rates for transportation through the Black Sea Corridor decreased by another $2-4/t, depending on the direction of delivery. Freight rates for transportation by Danube to Constanta decreased to 25-32 €/t against the background of reduced cargo flow through the Danube ports. "Freight rates for river-sea vessels decreased by an average of $10/t, depending on the direction," the report says.

 

As of November 8, the rates for transportation by water transport from the port of Izmail were:

  • Constanta, Romania — 25-30 €/t (1-3 thousand tons),
  • Eastern Italy — $65-70/t (4-6 thousand tons).

 

Transportation rates from the port of Chornomorsk were:

  • Spain — $50-55/t (25-35 thousand tons),
  • Spain — $40-45/t (55-65 thousand tons).
