Soybeans and sunflowers in Ukraine are harvested on half of the areas, and export rates are 57% higher than last year

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of September 19, 31.875 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Ukraine from 7.511 million hectares or 68% of the area with an average yield of 4.24 tons/ha. Last year, on September 21, 29.8 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from 6.841 million hectares or 63% of the area with a yield of 4.36 tons/ha.

Harvesting of late grains, which are currently threshed, is also underway:

• corn – 2.4 million tons from 514.5 thousand hectares (13% of the area) with a yield of 4.66 tons/ha (4.7 tons/ha last year),
• buckwheat - 99.4 thousand tons from 66 thousand hectares (74% of the area) with a yield of 1.51 (1.44) tons/ha,
• millet – 132.01 thousand tons from 68.2 thousand hectares (74% of the area) with a yield of 1.94 (2.31) tons/ha.

Oil crops were collected on the specified date:

• sunflower - 4.89 million tons from 2.431 million hectares (49% of the area) with a yield of 2.01 (2.08) tons/ha,
• rapeseed - 3.438 million tons from 1.266 million hectares (100%) with a yield of 2.72 (2.87) tons/ha,
• soybeans - 2.642 million tons from 1.293 million hectares (49%) with a yield of 2.04 (2.43) tons/ha.

In addition, the indicators of the gross harvest of wheat were increased to 22.272 million tons, barley - to 5.533 million tons, peas - to 465.3 thousand tons.

Also, on September 19, 1.679 million tons of sugar beets were harvested from 35.5 thousand hectares or 14% of the area with a yield of 47.33 (43.68) tons/ha.

According to the State Customs Service, in 2024/25 MR (as of September 20) Ukraine exported 9.28 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, in particular in September - 1.814 million tons, while last year on this date 5.902 million tons of grain were shipped, with of them in September - 1.315 million tons.

In general, on the specified date, the following were exported:

• wheat - 5.267 million tons (2.83 million tons last year), of which in September - 1.484 million tons,
• barley - 1.207 (0.594) million tons, in September - 94 thousand tons,
• rye – 7.5 (0.6) thousand tons, in September 7.2 thousand tons,
• of corn - 2.549 (2.464) million tons, in September - 213 thousand tons.

Also, on September 20, 16.4 thousand tons of flour were exported (of which 4.5 thousand tons in September), including wheat - 14.8 (3.8) thousand tons.
