The speed of rail cargo transportation in autumn was the lowest in 3 years

According to Rail analysts.insider, the average daily mileage of a loaded wagon in November was 109 km/day, and a grain carrier in October-126 km/day, which is the lowest figure in the last 3 years.

At the same time, the turnover of gondola cars and grain carriers, which are the main units of the mobile fleet of Ukrzaliznytsia, increased by 1 day compared to the previous year. Reducing the speed of cargo delivery by rail in the fall to a three-year low led to a gradual reduction in the surplus of the car fleet.
