Saudi Arabia purchased 920,000 tons of milling wheat at a tender

The General Authority for Food Security of Saudi Arabia (GFSA) held a tender for the purchase of 595 thousand tons of milling wheat, in which it contracted 920 thousand tons of wheat with a protein of 12.5% at an average price of $276.37/ton C&F, Reuters reports.
According to traders, the bulk of the purchased wheat will be supplied from the Black Sea region, in particular 300 thousand tons from Romania, a certain amount from Bulgaria, at least two ship loads each from Australia and the Russian Federation. In general, quite a few countries of origin may be involved in the purchase,” one of the European traders noted.
Wheat will be delivered from May to July 2025 to the following ports:
Jeddah Port:
- 60 thousand tons from Solaris at a price of $276.11 C&F (May 1-15)
- 65 thousand tons from Olam at a price of $279.00 C&F (May 15-31)
- 60 thousand tons from Cerealcom at a price of $275.00 C&F (June 15-30)
- 65 thousand tons from Olam at a price of $279.25 C&F (June 15-30)
- 65 thousand tons from Olam at a price of $276.25 C&F (July 1-15)
Yanbu Port:
- 60 thousand tons from Ameropa at a price of $279.44 C&F (May 1-15)
- 60 thousand tons from Solaris at a price of $277.44 C&F (May 15-31)
- 60 thousand tons from Cerealcom at a price of $268.50 C&F (July 1-15)
- 60 thousand tons from Solaris at a price of $270.44 C&F (July 1-15)
- 65 thousand tons from Olam at a price of $275.75 C&F (July 1-15)
- 65 thousand tons from Bunge at a price of $276.00 C&F (July 1-15)
- 60 thousand tons from Ameropa at a price of $276.60 C&F (July 1-15)
Dammam Port:
- 60 thousand tons from Cargill at a price of $277.70 C&F (May 1-15)
- 60 thousand tons from CBH at a price of $284.90 C&F (May 1-15)
- Jizan Port (C&F):
- 55 thousand tons from Cerealcom at a price of $272.50 C&F (July 1-15).
Recall that in the previous tender on December 16, Saudi Arabia purchased 804 thousand tons of wheat.
