Russia attacks civilian ship in Odessa region for the third time in a week
During the morning attack in the Odessa region, a Russian UAV hit a civilian cargo ship flying the flag of Nauru, said the head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper.
After the impact, a fire broke out on board - one of the containers caught fire, but the crew was able to put out the fire and the ship continued its journey. There were no injuries among the crew members.
According to the USPA, this is a merchant ship that was heading along the Ukrainian sea corridor to one of the ports of Greater Odessa.
The region's civilian and port infrastructure was also attacked. And this is not the first attack on civilian ships and ports in the Odessa region this week.
On the night of April 14, drones attacked ports in the south of the Odessa region. In the Izmail port, a civilian vessel under the Panamanian flag, a berth, a barge, and port equipment were damaged.
On the afternoon of April 14, a Russian drone hit a civilian vessel that was traveling along the sea corridor to the port of Velika Odessa to load corn. A fire also broke out on board, which was quickly extinguished by the crew. The vessel continued its journey, as there were no injuries.
On the morning of April 16, the Russian Federation launched a drone and missile strike on a multi-story residential building in Odessa, killing 8 people and injuring 16 others. The building was severely damaged, some of the apartments were completely destroyed, and the fire that broke out as a result of the strike was extinguished only thanks to the long-term work of rescuers.
