The work of the "grain corridor" still remains inefficient

During April 17-23 (the 38th week of operation of the grain corridor), the number of ships loaded in the sea ports of Odesa increased by 1 to 15 units compared to the previous week, and the volume of shipped products decreased by 5% to 668.4 thousand tons.

The Russian side continues to sabotage ship inspections and tries to change the rules, which leads to a reduction in product shipments in ports. During the specified time, no more than 2 vessels per day were inspected at the exit, which is an extremely low indicator, since during the active periods of the corridor, an average of 5.5 vessels were inspected daily.

The main export items for the 38th week of operation of the grain corridor were:

• corn – 68% of shipments,
• wheat - 22%,
• sunflower cake - 8%.

The buyers of Ukrainian agricultural products were the countries of Asia (China, Turkey and Yemen), Europe (Spain, Italy and Germany) and Africa (Tunisia and Lebanon).

During the period of operation of the grain corridor (from August 1, 2022), as of April 23, Ukraine exported 28.8 million tons of agricultural products through it.
