Rating of the main exporters of grain from Ukraine according to the results of the 2022/23 MR

Kernel, Louis Dreyfus Company and Cargill became the largest exporters of Ukrainian grain in FY 2022/23.

In 2022/23, Ukraine increased grain exports compared to the previous season by 1 million tons to 49 million tons, of which 55% were shipped through deep-sea ports, and the rest via alternative routes.

The change in the main export routes has significantly adjusted the structure of the largest grain exporters, since deliveries by alternative routes are very fragmented, and the share of the main players in them does not exceed 5-7%. The exception here is the Nibulon company, which actively exports grain through its port terminal on the Danube, even against the background of the possibility of exporting through Black Sea ports.

Therefore, according to the results of 2022/23 MR, the Kernel company became the largest exporter of grain from Ukraine with a share of 8% in total exports. Second place was taken by Louis Dreyfus with a share of 7%.

And in general, the TOP-10 largest exporters and the corresponding share in grain exports are as follows:

1. Kernel - 8%.
2. Louis Dreyfus – 7%.
3. Cargill – 5%.
4. Nibulon - 5%.
5. ADM – 5%.
6. Agroprosperis - 4%.
7. Cofco – 3%.
8. Viterra – 3%.
9. Ukrlandfarming - 2%.
10. Olam Ukraine - 1%.
