The first two vessels entered the humanitarian corridor for loading in the port of Chornomorsk

Two dry cargo ships entered the port of Chornomorsk through the temporary humanitarian corridor: the Turkish Aroyat and the Resilient Africa (both under the flag of Palau), which became the first civilian ships to enter Ukrainian Black Sea ports outside the grain corridor since the beginning of the war. The crews of the vessels consist of citizens of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Egypt and Ukraine.

According to the Seaports Administration of Ukraine, almost 20,000 tons of wheat will be loaded onto bulk carriers in the port of Chornomorsk, which will be delivered to African and Asian countries in the future.

The Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine O. Kubrakov noted that the humanitarian corridor previously established by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was used only for the evacuation of ships that remained in the ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdenny since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

We will remind that on August 10, the Armed Forces Navy announced the creation of a temporary corridor in the Black Sea, after which 5 ships left the ports of Ukraine: the container ship JOSEPH SCHULTE, the bulk carriers PRIMUS, ANNA-THERESA, OCEAN COURTESY and PUMA. Since there is a threat of drifting mines and attacks from the Russian Federation on the route, only those vessels whose owners or captains have officially confirmed their readiness to sail in dangerous conditions are allowed to move along the corridor.

In recent weeks, the Russian Federation has stepped up attacks on Ukraine's Danube ports to stop grain exports, and over the weekend again shelled the Odesa region after learning about the entry of ships to the port of Chornomorsk.

On the night of September 17, the Russian Federation attacked Odesa with cruise missiles and attack UAVs. Although the air defense forces shot down 12 out of 16 aerial targets, warehouses with agricultural products were again damaged as a result of the hits.

On the night of September 18, the south of Odeshchyna, in particular Reni, was attacked by two waves of UAVs, and air defense was operating in Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions. Later, Shaheds were spotted in Ochakiv, and at 4:30 a.m., cruise missiles moving in a southwesterly direction entered the airspace of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region, where, according to local authorities, air defense was working. Already at 6 in the morning, the alarm was announced, and the results of the night attack will be known later.
