The first data on yields in Ukraine, France and the Russian Federation correspond to forecasts

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of June 26, 188.1 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Ukraine from 74.3 thousand hectares with an average yield of 2.53 tons/ha, while last year, as of June 27, 721.4 thousand tons were threshed from 209.8 thousand hectares with an average yield of 3.44 tons/ha.

 

Currently collected:

  • barley – from 55.4 thousand hectares 151.6 thousand tons with a yield of 2.74 tons/hectare,
  • wheat – from 10.5 thousand hectares 22.4 thousand tons with a yield of 2.13 tons/hectare,
  • peas – from 8.4 thousand hectares, 14.2 thousand tons with a yield of 1.69 tons/hectare.

 

Farmers in Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions have already started harvesting, while last year at this time the harvest was already being harvested in 6 regions.

 

In France, the harvest of winter wheat and spring barley began last week, and the harvest of winter barley has also significantly increased. According to the state agency FranceAgriMer, as of June 23, winter wheat was harvested on 1% of the area (1% on average for 5 years on this date), spring barley – on 1% (1%), durum wheat – on 4% (%) of the area, winter barley – on 22% (13%) of the area, of which 21% - last week.

 

Crops are developing faster than usual, with 96% (92%) of the crop in the 6-8 leaf stage. 81% of the corn crop is in good or very good condition, similar to last year.

 

In the Stavropol Territory of the Russian Federation, the average grain yield at the start of harvesting is 4 t/ha, while last year it was 3.5 t/ha.

 

In 2024, the grain harvest in Stavropol fell by 5% to 7.8 million tons due to rain and hail, but this season the harvest will be much better.
