As of October 21, 2025, Ukrainian farmers sowed 4,833.9 thousand hectares with winter crops, which is 74.0% of the projected area.
In particular, the following were sown:
- winter wheat – 3,443.6 thousand hectares or 82% of the plan,
- winter barley – 300.3 thousand hectares or 30% of the plan,
- winter rye – 60,000 hectares,
- winter rape - 1.03 million hectares.
Among the leaders in grain crops sowing are Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions. At the same time, Poltava and Ternopil regions have already completed sowing.
