Yesterday it became known the results of tenders for purchase of wheat, which were held by major importing countries.

Egyptian state operator GASC bought 180 TMT of Russian and 60 TMT of Romanian wheat for September delivery at a price 253,3 $/t CFR, which is 7.5% higher than the price last week.

the Ministry of trade of Iraq has purchased from Cargill 50 thousand tonnes of Australian hard wheat at a price of 335 $/t СРУF, whereas in the beginning of July bought in CBH 100 thousand tons Australian wheat at a price 306,75 $/t СРУF.

The previous eight tenders were canceled because of too high prices or lack of interest on the part of suppliers. The tender 16 may JSSGC bought 60 thousand tons of wheat with protein 11% at a price of 244.5 $/t CFR.

the Algerian Agency OAIC bought 360 KMT of French wheat at a price 26-272 $/t CFR.

the results of the tenders indicate the willingness of importers to buy wheat at high prices on the market, which is growing, not hoping for a seasonal fall in prices.
