World

The Trump administration plans to reach an agreement with China to increase purchases of agricultural products from the United States.

 

Taiwan and Thailand have announced their intentions to increase agricultural imports from the United States to balance the trade balance and avoid tariffs threatened by Trump.

 

Lower soybean harvest forecasts in Argentina and Brazil due to heat support quotes on global stock exchanges.

Corn

Corn prices continue to rise, and sellers have reduced sales in anticipation of peak prices. At the same time, on a CIF basis, corn is traded $5-6/t cheaper than on the CPT - Ukraine, which indicates overheating of the local market. Therefore, next week, seasonal corn may fall in price by $10/t.

 

Prices for deliveries of the new crop in October - December on a DAP port basis remained at $200-203/t.

Wheat

Expectations of the end of the war are putting pressure on the wheat market. Funds have started to close long positions on exchanges, which may signal the end of the upward trend. Although compared to the previous week, wheat prices increased by $5/t.

Sunflower

Some plants are reducing sunflower purchases and planning to start rapeseed purchase programs. During the week, sunflower prices increased by UAH 500/t amid rising oil prices.

• DAP Ukraine (plant) oil content 46% (dry basis) - $440-455/t (excluding VAT).

Soy

GMO soybeans at DAP ports of the Black Sea were trading at $390-395/t, but at the end of the week prices fell to $390/t under pressure from increased offers from North America.
