China's grain production in 2025 reached nearly 715 million tons

According to data released on January 19 by the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China, grain production in China in 2025 reached a record 714.88 million tons, which is 1.2% or 8.38 million tons higher than the previous year, OilWorld reports.

At the same time, the production of summer grain crops decreased by 0.1% to 149.75 million tons, while the production of autumn grain crops increased by 1.5% to 536.62 million tons, and that of early rice increased by 1.2% to 28.51 million tons.

Compared to last year, the production of main crops changed as follows:

• corn – increased by 2.1% to 301.24 million tons,
• rice – increased by 0.7% to 209.04 million tons,
• soybeans – increased by 1.3% to 20.91 million tons,
• wheat – remained at the level of 140.07 million tons.
