A slight increase in wheat prices on World Stock Exchanges stopped the fall in prices in Ukraine

After a sharp drop in wheat prices on world stock exchanges last week, European and American wheat prices have risen slightly since Friday, while Black Sea wheat remains under pressure from low export demand.

Winter wheat prices in the United States have risen 2.2-2.9% since Friday amid cold weather in Texas and Kansas, which can damage crops.

During January 28 – February 3, wheat exports from the United States increased by 11% compared to the previous week to 417.75 thousand tons, and in general in the season reached 14.02 million tons, which is 17.7% lower than last year's pace and generally corresponds to the USDA forecast reduction in exports in the current season by 16.8%.

Since Friday, March wheat futures have risen:

• by 6 6.3 / ton to Чикаго 282.5/ton for soft winter SRW wheat in Chicago,
• by 8 8.3 / ton to H 290.9/ton for hard winter HRW wheat in Kansas City,
• by 5 5.1/ton to.338.5 / ton for hard spring HRS wheat in Minneapolis.

The strengthening of the euro against the dollar to 1 1,144/€ worsens the competitiveness of European grain.

• March European wheat futures on Paris ' Euronext rose 1.75 €/ton to 266 €/ton or.304.4 / ton, in line with last week's level.

March Black Sea wheat futures in Chicago also rose 1% from Friday to.316/ton, returning to the level of the previous week.

Supply prices of Russian wheat with 12.5% protein for delivery in February – March last week fell, according to Icarus agency estimates, by 9 9/ton to F 319/ton FOB, and according to SovEcon estimates – by 7 7/ton to.323/ton.

The world's largest wheat importer, China, last week agreed on protocols that allow wheat supplies from Russia without regionalization, from all territories, which will help increase exports to China.

In Ukraine, purchase prices for food wheat remain in ports at the level of 2 288-292/ton, for feed wheat–. 268-274/ton.however, due to the strengthening of the hryvnia to UAH 27.9-28/ т, purchase prices decreased to UAH 9150-9250/ton for food and UAH 8400-8500/ton for feed wheat.
