Even the increase in exports from the EU was unable to support the price of wheat

Yesterday, the world price of wheat fell as traders reduced the number of contracts because of uncertainty of further price movement.

In the market there are no factors support or pressure on prices. The increase in the supply of wheat from Argentina, Australia and India worsens prospects for exports of wheat from the United States and Russia in the second half of the season.

However, at the end of the session, speculators began to close short positions and carry out technical buying, which made the quotes in the green zone.

the Paris wheat market falls 7th session in a row under pressure from a strengthening Euro against the dollar, and even the intensification of wheat exports from the EU did not support quotes.

the EU along with Britain in 2020/21 MG as of 6 Dec decreased compared with the corresponding period of the previous season's grain exports up 23% to 16,179 million tons, and imports by 17% to 9,726 million tons.

Export soft wheat from the EU for the week rose to 500 thousand tons due to shipping from Poland and the Baltic States. Overall in the season 2020/21 magazinei exports of wheat decreased in comparison with the corresponding period of last year by 21% to 10,438 million tonnes, while its imports increased by 11% to 1,242 million tonnes.

India stepped up shipments of wheat to Bangladesh at a price 270-275 $/t C&F.

Ukraine in the current season have exported to Indonesia, 2.2 million MT of wheat, which corresponds to the last year level. However, the growth of the proposals from Australia reduces the demand for Ukrainian wheat from traditional buyers – Indonesia and Bangladesh.
