The National Bank has increased the payment terms for agricultural exports to 150 days

At the proposal of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the National Bank, by Resolution No. 97 of August 25, 2026, temporarily increased from 120 to 150 days the deadline for payments for the export of certain types of agricultural products, in particular grain and oilseed crops, products of their processing, as well as vegetable oils.

The decision comes into force on August 26, 2026 and will apply to export transactions carried out from July 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027.

The NBU explained this step by restrictions on sea exports caused by Russian shelling of port infrastructure and civilian vessels, as a result of which agricultural cargo had to be exported via alternative routes, which significantly increased delivery and settlement times.

The NBU believes that under current logistical conditions, a period of 120 days will be insufficient to complete some export operations, so increasing it to 150 days will reduce the risks of exporters violating the requirements of currency legislation, which will support the export of Ukrainian agricultural products and help adapt it to complex logistics without creating risks to macro-financial stability.
