The Ministry of Agrarian Policy restores subsidies to small farmers for land and for keeping cattle, goats and sheep

In 2024, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine will restore budget subsidies for farmers for land and for keeping cattle, goats and sheep, in the following amount:

• farmers keeping from 3 to 100 cows - UAH 7,000 per head,
• grow from 5 to 500 goats or sheep - 2 thousand hryvnias. behind the head
• cultivate from 1 to 120 hectares of agricultural land - UAH 4,000. per hectare

In order to receive subsidies, information about the recipient must be entered in the State Agrarian Register, since applications for receiving budget funds will be submitted online only through it.

Farmers can register in the State Agrarian Register and apply for budget funds independently. Producers who meet the criteria and need government support should follow the link and follow the steps suggested by the system.

We will remind that on January 1, a new stage of land reform began in Ukraine, which increased the limits for the sale of agricultural land from 100 hectares to 10,000 hectares, which created a threat to the existence of small and medium-sized agribusiness.

In addition, since January 1, legal entities have received the right to purchase up to 10,000 hectares of agricultural land, thanks to which the state plans to receive an additional 1-2.7% of GDP over the next 3 years.

According to experts' estimates, from the time the land market opened until November 2023, 187,700 land purchase and sale agreements were concluded.
