The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine approved the Procedure for Issuing International Certificates for Cargoes with Food Products

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine approved the Procedure for Issuing International Certificates and Other Documents Required by Countries of Destination for Cargoes with Food Products, in accordance with the requirements of Part 8 of Art. 60 of the Law of Ukraine "On Basic Principles and Requirements for the Safety and Quality of Food Products".
The new Order defines:
- the procedure for submitting to the territorial body of the State Production and Consumer Service or an authorized person an application to the market operator for obtaining international certificates and other documents required by the legislation of the country of destination (hereinafter referred to as international certificates);
- a list of documents required for issuing international certificates;
- grounds for issuing international certificates or refusing to issue them;
- the procedure for issuing a pre-export international certificate, which is issued at the request of the market operator in cases where the country of destination and/or the final vehicle is unknown on the date of departure from the facility of origin;
- the procedure for replacing (reissuing) international certificates.
Also, the Order approves 15 forms of international certificates for the export of food products of animal/non-animal origin from Ukraine, which are issued at the request of the market operator in the absence of an international certificate form agreed upon by the State Consumer Service and the competent body of the country of destination, or if the country of destination has not established the form of an international certificate.
