China has reduced imports of soybeans, corn and canola

In August this year, China imported only 26,55 thousand tons of corn, which is 96% less compared to August last year.

in General, during January-August 2016 China imported 2.96 million tons of corn, which is 32.2% less than it was purchased for the same period in 2015. The share of Ukrainian grains in this volume decreased by 28.2% and amounted to 2.66 million ton. The supply of corn from the U.S. for 9 months of 2016 decreased by 51% and amounted to 202 thousand tons, and Russia lost only 4.2% of exports by China 63,2 thousand tons.

Imports of soybeans in comparison with last year has decreased by 1.45% to 7.7 million. The main suppliers are Brazil and Argentina that sold China 5 million tons and 2 million tons respectively.

the Purchase of rapeseed in comparison with August of last year fell by 25.6% and amounted to 428,9 thousand tons.

the Decline in purchases of grain one of the largest world importers leads to a fall in prices. On the Chicago stock exchange the prices of corn fell to 131,59 $/ton, and soybean – to 356,51 $/ton.
