Canada reduced grain and oilseed exports by 2% in 2025/26 MY

According to the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC), from August 1, 2025 to March 29, 2026, Canada exported 33.5 million tonnes of grains, legumes, and oilseeds, which is 2% lower than the previous season's pace.
In particular, canola exports decreased by 23% to 5.3 million tons, and corn exports decreased by 73% to 0.4 million tons.
At the same time, exports of the following crops increased:
- soft wheat – by 4% to 14.5 million tons,
- durum - by 4% to 3.8 million tons,
- barley – by 70% to 2.3 million tons,
- peas – by 24% to 1.8 million tons,
- lentils – by 20% to 1 million tons.
Soybean exports remained unchanged at 3.6 million tons.
