Jordan purchased 50,000 tons of barley at a lower price than in March

On June 3, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan held a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin, at which it purchased 50,000 tons of barley from Bunge with shipment on August 1-15 at a price of $255.75/ton C&F, Reuters reports.

 

Barley was also offered at the tender by Cargill (at a price of $257.95/t), Dreyfus ($263.0/t), Olam ($259.45/t), Ameropa ($261.09/t), Cofco ($259.51/t), Buildcom ($258.5/t), Solaris ($260.55/t), Agrocorp ($264/t).

 

The next tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin with delivery in August-September is planned to be held on June 10.

 

Recall that in an international tender on March 11, the Jordanian state agency MIT purchased 50,000 tons of feed barley of any origin from CHS for delivery in early July at a price of $261.25/ton C&F.
