Jordan holds tender for wheat procurement

According to European traders, on December 9, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan held a tender for the purchase of 120 thousand tons of milling wheat of any origin with shipment on February 16-28, 2026, where it purchased 60 thousand tons of wheat from Buildcom at a price of $263/ton C&F.

Wheat was also offered at the tender at the following prices:

• CHS - $264.79/t,
• Cargill - $266.85/t,
• Cofco - $264.85/t,
• Ameropa – $266.89/t.

The next tender for the purchase of 120 thousand tons of milling wheat of any origin with shipment in March-April will be held on December 16.

In recent tenders, wheat purchase prices remain at $256-265/t C&F Middle East or North Africa, but a sharp increase in global wheat production may reduce importers' purchase prices in the near future.
