Jordan purchased wheat at a tender at a higher price than in April
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan purchased 60,000 tons of milling wheat from Buildcom in an international tender on June 2, with delivery on August 16-31 at a price of $276/ton C&F.
The tender planned to purchase 120,000 tons of wheat, but only half of the volume was contracted.
Wheat was also offered at the tender by CHS ($278.8/t, Dreyfus — $282/t, Ameropa — $280/t), but their offers turned out to be uncompetitive.
At the same time, Jordan has already announced a new tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of milling wheat for delivery in August and September, applications for which will be accepted until June 9.
Recall that in a tender on April 21, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan purchased 60 thousand tons of wheat from Cargill for delivery on August 16-31 at a price of $273.99/ton C&F. Wheat was also offered in the tender by CHS (at $275.4/ton), Bunge (at $281/ton), and Dreyfus (at $282/ton).
