Jordan purchased 60,000 tons of barley at a tender

On August 27, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan held a tender for the purchase of 120 thousand tons of feed barley of any origin, at which it purchased 60 thousand tons of barley from Olam with shipment from November 1-15 at a price of $264.25/ton on a C&F basis.

The tender was also attended by Ameropa and Bunge, which offered barley at $273/t and $269/t, respectively.

The next tender for the purchase of 120 thousand tons of feed barley of any origin with shipment from October 1 to November 30 will be held on September 3.

Such high demand for barley will support feed barley prices in Ukraine at $214-217/t in the coming months until the corn harvest begins.
