Jordan purchased 60,000 tons of wheat at a tender and announced a new tender

In an international tender on March 17, Jordan purchased 60,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin from CHS for delivery in the first half of June at a price of $277.50/ton C&F.

At the same time, the country announced a new tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of wheat for delivery in June-July, with bids being accepted until March 24.

In addition, a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley will be completed on Wednesday.

Despite the war in the Middle East, Jordan continues to actively purchase grain.

Recall that at an international tender on February 10, the Jordanian state agency MIT purchased, as planned, 120 thousand tons of food wheat of any origin from Cargill and Buildcom in two batches of 60 thousand tons each at a price of $264.5/ton C&F.

And in January, MIT purchased 60 thousand tons (out of the planned 120 thousand tons) of food wheat of any origin from COFCO with delivery to the port of Aqaba on April 16-30, 2026 at a price of $261.25/ton C&F.
