Jordan purchased 50,000 tons of barley out of the planned 120,000 tons at a tender.

According to European traders, on February 11, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan held an international tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin, at which it purchased 50,000 tons of barley from Ameropa with shipment on May 1-15 at a price of $284/ton C&F Aqaba.

Barley was also offered at the tender by Bunge (at a price of $286.45/t C&F), Olam ($289.45/t C&F), and Dreyfus ($290/t C&F).

The next tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley is scheduled to take place on February 18.

Recall that in an international tender on December 17, the Jordanian state grain purchaser MIT purchased 60 thousand tons (out of the planned 120 thousand tons) of feed barley from Souflett for delivery in the first half of March 2026 at a price of $270/ton C&F (including freight).
