India has resumed importing sunflower oil from Ukraine

In September of this year, Ukraine increased the export of sunflower oil by 36% compared to August to a record 500,000 tons for this month.

The recovery of supplies through the deep-sea ports of the Black Sea and the active work of sunflower processing enterprises in August-September made it possible to increase exports.

EU countries (with a share of 37%) and Turkey (27%) remained the main buyers of Ukrainian sunflower oil in September. In addition, in September, India resumed purchases of sunflower oil, to which more than 100,000 tons of products were sent.

Export prices for Ukrainian soybean oil in October fell to $1,050-1,100/t FOB under the pressure of increased supply and delays in the approach of vessels for loading due to inspection queues.

Asking prices from Turkey eased to $1,150-1,200/t CIF, but supply is constrained by import duties, while asking prices for deliveries to India are $1,250-1,350/t CIF.

Russian sunflower oil prices remain at $1,150/t FOB - Black Sea, but are also under pressure from seasonal supply increases.
