India exported a record amount of vegetable oils in July

According to SEA estimates, India increased vegetable oil imports in July compared to the corresponding period of 2023 by 8% to a record 1.89 million tons, reports Oil World.
Thus, compared to July 2023, palm oil imports increased from 1.02 to 1.12 million tons, of which 630,000 tons were supplied from Indonesia, 300,000 tons from Malaysia, and 120,000 tons from Thailand.
The import of sunflower oil grew by 14% to 367,000 tons, of which 190,000 tons were delivered from the Russian Federation, 86,000 tons from Argentina, and 43,000 tons from Ukraine.
At the same time, the import of soybean oil decreased from 401 to 392 thousand tons, of which 302 thousand tons were delivered from Argentina and 87 thousand tons from Brazil.
Stocks of vegetable oils in the country's ports rose to an 8-month high and reached 1 million tons at the end of July.
