IGC predicts that in 2025/26 MY global grain production will reach a record level

Experts from the International Grains Council (IGC) predict that in the 2025/26 MY, world grain production will reach a record 2.368 billion tons, in particular, wheat production will increase compared to the previous season by 6.2 to 665.2 million tons, and corn - by 52.2 to 1,269 million tons.
The increase in global grain production is expected to be partially offset by low opening stocks, so total supply in 2025/26 MY will grow by only 1%.
According to the IGC forecast, global grain consumption in the 2025/26 MY will increase by 30.4 to 2,367 million tons compared to the previous season, and carrying stocks will increase by 1.4 to 578 million tons, including in the main exporting countries.
Global grain exports will increase by 7.4 to 423.7 million tonnes, but will remain significantly lower than previous record highs.
The forecast for global grain production in the current season has been increased by 4 million tons to 2,306 million tons due to adjustments to harvest forecasts in South America.
