The European Union has reduced vegetable oil imports by 10% this season
According to the European Commission, in the current season (from July 1 to December 16), the European Union reduced imports of vegetable oils by 10% compared to the same period last year to 2.3562 million tons.
In particular, imports of palm oil decreased by 12% to 1.3545 million tons, and sunflower oil - by 33% to 776.5 thousand tons.
At the same time, imports of soybean oil increased by 155% to 286.1 thousand tons and rapeseed oil - by 96% to 225.2 thousand tons.
In the current season, Ukraine supplied the EU with 717.8 thousand tons of sunflower oil, 139.7 thousand tons of soybean oil, and 162.7 thousand tons of rapeseed oil. Indonesia and Malaysia supplied 374 and 369.7 thousand tons of palm oil, respectively.
