According to the European Commission in 2019/20 MG the EU countries sharply increased imports of sunflower seed and rapeseed, primarily due to increased production and exports in Russia.

In this season, as of may 31, imports of rapeseed in the EU (including the UK) increased compared to the previous marketing year by 43% to 5.59 million tonnes, and sunflower to 1 million tonnes, whereas in 2018/19 MG its imports amounted to 507 thousand tons, and in 2017/18 MG - 546 thousand tons.

Argentina – 84 thousand tons,

Ukraine – 27 thousand tons,

Serbia – 26 thousand tons.

palm oil decreased by 11% to 5.25 million tons due to reduced production of biodiesel.
