Exporters raise purchase prices for new crop barley

Against the backdrop of increased demand from importers and the first signals of low feed barley yields in Ukraine, purchase prices in ports have begun to increase. According to APK-Inform Agency, as of June 18, 2025, prices for barley of the 2025 harvest in the ports of Greater Odessa increased by $1–3/t to the level of $185–193/t CPT-port.

Prices are supported by a limited number of offers at the start of the harvest, as well as uncertainty about further weather conditions, which have already reduced the yield potential in the southern regions. At the same time, there is trading activity in the Danube ports - here prices also increased by $ 2 / t to $ 184-193 / t or 8900-9200 UAH / t CPT-port.

Market participants are expecting more detailed data on the volumes of the new crop and the pace of harvesting, which will determine price dynamics in the near future.
