At the same time, the export of flour decreased by 25% to 53.1 thousand tons, of which wheat – 52.4 thousand tons.

 

As of December 2, Russia exported (including to the Customs Union countries) 25.5 million tons of grain, oilseeds and their processed products, including 23.1 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, including 22.2 million tons of grain. The pace of exports is 19% lower than last year, although a week ago the gap was 18%.

 

Compared to the previous season exports decreased:

  • wheat – by 18% to 18.8 million tons,
  • barley – by 34% to 2.3 million tons.

At the same time exports increased

  • corn – by 12% to 1 million tons,
  • peas – by 65% to 0.7 million tons,
  • wheat bran – by 11% to 0.4 million tons,
  • wheat flour – by 19% to 0.1 million tons,
  • flax-by 17% to 0.4 million tons.

In addition, the country exported 0.4 million tons of sunflower meal and 0.3 million tons of soybeans this season.

 

The Ministry of Agriculture lowered its forecast for grain and leguminous exports in the current season from 51 to 45-48 million tons, although the USDA estimates it at 50 million tons , in particular wheat – at 36 million tons, Barley – at 6 million tons, corn – at 4.5 million tons.

 

The introduction of quotas for grain exports from Russia in early 2022 will sharply reduce the volume of exports in the second half of the season.
