Grain exports from Ukraine increased to the level of last year, and Russia sets a new record
According to the Russian agricultural agencies, as of October 16, 2017 with an area of 44.2 million hectares (of 93.9% of the planned harvesting) Russian farmers harvested 131.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops on yield of 2,97 t/ha. In 2016 on the same date, with 44 million hectares were collected 115,8 million tonnes of grain with a yield of 2.63 t/ha.
Winter and spring wheat with 97.8% of the projected area collected 87,1 million tons with a yield of 3.23 t/ha (in 2016, that date was produced 75.6 million tons with a yield of 2.79 t/ha).
According to the FCS of Russia, in the 2017/18 season as of October 11, the country exported 13,551 million tonnes of grain, which is 21% higher compared to the corresponding period of the previous season.
exports of barley increased in 1.6 times up to 2,082 million tonnes, wheat by 13.5% to 10,488 million tonnes, maize – up to 903 thousand tons.
Ukrainian farmers as of October 13, with 11.6 million hectares (79% of plan) contains 45 million tonnes of grain with a yield of 3.89 t/ha.
export Volumes of domestic grain reached last year's level. Now in the world markets sold 12 million tons of grain, of which:
- wheat - 3.9 million tons,
- feed wheat and 3.1 million tons
- barley – 3.3 million tons,
- corn of 1.25 million tons.
during the same period of the previous season were exported 12.2 million tonnes of grain of which: wheat - 4 million tonnes of feed wheat and 3.6 million tons, barley – 3.4 million tons, corn – 0,96 million tons.
In the current marketing year the rate of export of oil is almost twice higher than last year. Already exported more than 1.7 million tons of oilseeds, including rapeseed 1.53 million t, soybean a-0.7 million tonnes during the corresponding period last year the export of oil exceeded 0.9 million tons (including rape and 0.64 million tons of soybeans -0,29 million tons).
