Grain exports from Russia is 40% higher than in the previous MG

According to the FCS of Russia, as of March 28 grain exports totaled 39,17 million tonnes, which is 40% higher than in the same period of the previous my, when it exported 28 million tonnes.

In comparison with the corresponding period last year, exports of wheat increased by 41% to 30.6 million tons, barley – doubled to 4.4 million tons. Corn exports amounted to 3.9 million tonnes, which corresponds to the level of the same period of the previous year.

a Record grain harvest in Russia increased the competition between Ukrainian and European exporters, leading to lower prices.

According to the SFS of Ukraine in the current season as at 28 March Ukraine exported 30 million tons of wheat, 2.7 million tonnes lower than in the corresponding period last year. In particular, it was exported:

corn of 11.82 million tonnes,

barley 4.07 million tons,

flour 327,4 thousand tons.
